What a great way to wrap up the year! How to Kill Friends and Implicate People is the first time I've read Jay Stringer. His character, Fergus is a hitman and the action never stops. I'll be reading more from this author.
The Beast of Extraordinary Circumstance is a modern day fairy tale; it's full of wonder and improbability. You should read it, you'll be glad you did.
Wonder Valley is a novel alive with empathy for the dispossessed and detailed descriptions of the California landscape. It works its way between the hippy-dippy and the straight-collared. It's both a family tale and a mystery.
The Police are At The Station and They Don't Look Friendly is the last book in the Sean Duffy series. I've read them all and recommend them; start with the first one, Cold Cold Ground.
One of the things I love about John Grisham is that he doesn't write the same story over and over; as many of other successful authors do. The Rooster Bar is a great read; it kept me guessing until the end, which is good.
So Much Blue is about characters that you think you might know; how there lives work and don't work. It's never quite what you expect but it's a very satisfying read by a great author.
What are you reading?
